Purim

Purim

“Purim” tells the story of Talia, a 10-year-old girl who is forced to quarantine during her favorite holiday of the year – “Purim” – due to a global pandemic. The dilemma of whether to violate the quarantine rules or miss the Purim party puts her and her friendship with Daria (10) to the test and challenges the perception of personal freedom versus public responsibility. The isolation from her friends and the feeling of suffocation that Talia experiences strengthen her desire to break free and be someone else in a different reality. But on this Purim holiday, Talia and Daria face a world that compels them to grow up, a reality where not only children but also adults do not have full control over themselves. (Please note that there is an additional scene after the credits.)

Directed by Dana Mor Katz (Israel)
